Did you apply for a photo permit, or not? As far as I understand, you don't need them anymore, but the police will still question you and ask for ID. |

MBTA subway trains rarely operate with headlights on, so it is obvious to me that the motorman in the Orange Line train in the first photo has his headlights on high beam to try and ruin your photograph. That's an old anti-railfan trick among T workers - too bad it doesn't work in full sun! |

Sometimes, it does depend on the equipment.Here is a pic from last year, taken with a Kodak EasyShare CX7330.  Now, here is that same spot, taken with a Canon Powershot A550, with the cloudy setting (which I find to have the best color management, even when sunny): The difference is night and day. |
