I assume Houston is in one of these water restricted places. But then again, it is Texas, what do they care.Well, saving water in Houston is kind of like saving sand in El Paso. It's pretty much surrounded by swamps, so water is in no short supply there. |

Nice pics! Now I presume those Texans have finally learned to drive...right?At the very least I haven't seen many postings about any more crashes. What's more important though is that Texans are learning to not drive. When I was in Houston, the trains were packed on a Saturday afternoon. In Dallas, I rode packed trains on both the DART light rail and the Trinity Railway Express commuter line. Whenever anyone says "rail transit won't work here because people love their cars too much," I say b---s---. If the supposedly car-lovin' people of Dallas and Houston will take to the rails, I suppose anyone will give it a try. |

Glad you like Oslo. I think the Redbirds are still running!Since this is a thread about Texas trains, you know those Oslo redbirds got me thinking that they might look good in a wrap that painted them up like the Norwegian flag, kind of like the Texas-flag wraps on the Trinity Railway Express coaches. I mean, the Norwegian flag is mostly red anyway... |
