Actually, that was exactly the reason that dual blue and orange stripes were put at 179 St. At the time the contracts were let for station rehab, the service pattern for Archer Av was to be either the R or the G or both. Subsequently the present service pattern was decided on but the miscolored tiles were already in place at 179. Actually, it's not quite completely erroneous as some rush hour Es originate and terminate there. |
