Great stuff, thanks.One question - the 1947 Map of the Lexington/4th Avenue IRT line appears to show that the southbound local track from Brooklyn Bridge did not physically connect with the southbound track at Fulton Street (there is a gap in the diagram). We know that there was once was a connection, since the 6 train used to run to South Ferry, but that the connection wasn't physically severed until the 1960's and perhaps later than that. So why does the map show that the tracks were not connected? Is it just a reproduction error? |
