Not only that but the colorizing on the PCC and the buses was wrong. The PCCs were never painted maroon like the 6000s and 8000s, they were a sort of brownish grey with a red stripe below the window line and by the time of the photo they were all painted the green and silver of the B of T. The buses at the time were also painted in the B of T green and silver and not the maroon of the B&QT trolleys as they were shown in the video |

Interesting video, apart from the colors being inaccurate in some respects. Couldn't have been earlier than 1948 because several of the buses shown were GMs which were new that year. Curious that there were no Twins or Macks, which also ran in downtown Brooklyn at that time. Too bad the trolleys were only represented by a fleeting shot of a PCC. Great shot of a Canarsie multi! |
