Pelham line in the Bronx south of the Middletown Rd station with the local and express tracks and, the yard lead tracks to/from Westchester Yard.

Its amazing to look at that intricate ironwork that went into building that structure, which at that time was in the middle of nowhere bordering on swampland

Sometimes that might be the big reason that allowed things to be built.
I love the old photographs of these grand old massive buildings that are literally surrounded by mud. No sidewalks, no paved roads. But a sturdy facility was put up in the middle of what looks like nowhere. Before most modern utilities.
