The station was located between North White Plains and White Plains stations.

I don't think this is really accurate. Per Wikipedia, there never was a Holland Ave station and a North White Plains station in existence at the same time. NWP replaced Holland Avenue, which had only been a northbound station in any case.

Actually, Holland Ave and North White plains DID exist at the same time. MU trains terminated at North White while locomotive hauled trains stopped at the Holland Ave platform while engines changed from electric to diesel. The Holland Ave platform was westbound (Brewster bound) only while North White had platforms in both directions. passengers bound for North White Plains could take either type of train and it was noted on the timetable that the Holland Ave platform was s short distance from the North White platform so passengers used both services. I used the service many time due to cab rides I got from a friendly NYC engineer and asI recall the Holland Ave platform was about the same distance from the North White platform as the IND station at Bway Jct is from the BMT Bway Jct station.

Aim : There were three stations at White Plains. Going westbound they were
1) White Plains, MP 22.4
2) Holland Avenue, MP 23.4 (approx.)
3) White Plains, North Station (MP 23.9

The Harlem Line was electrified only as far as White Plains, North Station.
The through trains to Brewster and Chatham would stop at Holland Avenue to change power from electric to steam and later diesel engines. These trains would then proceed north (railroad west) and did not stop at the North Station.

The electric MU trains stopped at White Plains and then the North Station. They usually did not stop at Holland Avenue although a few did.

I worked at “NW” Tower so I am familiar with the interlocking.

OK, thanks. I stand corrected. The Wikipedia article isn't really wrong but it is misleading.

Yes, thanks.

Wikipedia says the NWP station was constructed after Holland Ave closed, but they must mean the new high-platform NWP station.
