So I'm contemplating my Navel when...

So, I'm sitting here, contemplating my navel when I get a brilliant idea.
They should replace all of the third rail pick-up shoe with the Dual type used on the Conndot rail cars

on to all of the subway cars.

Then THEY should replace All the third rails on "eLs" and surfacing running tracks with Under Running third rails.




Now, less arching and better service.


Back to my navel.

And how much would such a conversion cost??

Not that the stupid idea from Connecticut DOT is going to last. None of their trains are ever going to NYP. Ever. Even if they scrapped that stupid idea and went with automatic variable-tap transformers in their MUs so they could use both 25Hz and 60Hz overhead wires.
