You're the one that initially used the phrase "stay away". It was all well and good for you to tell people to stay away, but outraged that someone would say the same to you. To summarize:

Joe V: Do what I say or stay away.
Replies: Everyone can do as they feel to stay safe and if you don't like that, then you should stay away.
Joe V: How dare you tell me to stay away!

Evidently you are far too stupid to understand contagion and that masks protect others around you as well.

I cannot think of a justifiable reason to ban public nudity. If you want to come up with one, go ahead.

Can’t argue fairly so time for ad hominem.

If you’re worried about contagion, YOU wear a mask. I’m not, so I don’t.

The current spike was not avoidable. It’ll keep happening, over and over again. If all of the people who want to keep their faces behind masks for the rest of all time just die already, society will be better off.

The reason initially stated for requiring masks was to slow the spread. Now that hospitals aren't overwhelmed, it just feels like more nanny state BS.

I don't see it going away as long as we keep electing people that support nanny state ideology. In California, New York, and other places masks will be periodically mandated. More vaccines will be mandated. I don't see politicians abdicating what they see as their responsibility to keep us safe unless the courts take that authority away.

First, no they wouldn’t as ERs are legally obligated to treat all.

Wearing a mask at a physician’s office is actually reasonable. Wearing one on the subway isn’t.

Medical settings are their own ballgame. I think certain medical settings are an appropriate place for perpetual PPE use, including masks. In some settings, even preventing the spread of the common cold is worth mask-wearing because of the consequences of a cold for certain people.

But there are limits.

What if you walked in with a lit cigarette? I think you would be escorted to the door.

What if you walked in with an unconcealed weapon (which would almost certainly be against hospital policy even if that same weapon was legal on the street)?

"What if you walked in with a lit cigarette? I think you would be escorted to the door."

Theyd probably just tell you to put it out. Lets not forget that hospitals need to make $$$ and not by throwing someone out for such a seemingly trivial offense. Every potential patient is good for a hospitals bottom line.

"What if you walked in with an unconcealed weapon..."

You're forgetting that just about all hospitals have armed security at the lobby or ER entrances. Any "Unconcealed weapon" would be confiscated and any possible threat would be neutralized.

You sure know how to come up with the most out of left field "what ifs"!

Building on something I said earlier, while a doctor's office or other medical facilities might have a higher than normal proportion of people in poor health, the subway is the opposite. People who are sick or are otherwise in poor health would find the subway too difficult to manage.
