LIRR Photo at NYCSubway.org

Geez, I know this will get old what with all the "mystery" photos amd new photos at nycsubway.org, but wow, where in the world is this taken?
There's a station platform here, and huge gas tanks. A six track LIRR line.
Hunterspoint Ave station perhaps? I gues the gas tanks are gone now?

No, it IS electrified!

This is a good picture, clearly it's not Woodside, can't be Elmhurst (side platforms).

Remember, it looks like the PW branch is still there before it branches off.

There was only 2 tracks across the old trestle on Jamaica Bay. I'd say Howard Beach or N. Conduit Ave.

There were also gas tanks in Jamaica, but this does not look like Jamaica at any point in it's history.

I still think it's Howard Beach.
The North COnduit LIRR station is the same structure that's there today, and I don't think it looks like that.

They're both definately the same station, between Woodside and Jam. The building/covered roadway that goes over the tracks is still there today...I'm just not sure of the station name. Kew Gardens might be it.

This photo is labeled "Jamaica" and looks like it was taken at the same place as the mystery photo (note the smokestack in front of the gasometer), though that's not to say the location ID is necessarily correct.

This is taken at Greenport from the other side of the building:



AFIK, both sides of the Oyster Bay station flat framed doors, while Greenport's are arched like the mystery photo. Also, IINM, the roof brackets at Oyster bay are plainer. Greenport's have more scroll to them, or at least they did before the station was redone some years ago:



I don't have my own photos handy right now, so neither of those are mine, I got them in Google images.

LOL, I know. I took the top photo. I don't have any of the back of the Greenport station. The white brick on the mystery photo throws me, but it looks like Greenport has some flecks of paint fading on the brick, too.

The photo I have of Greenport was taken in the early 90's, and it still was still white then, before they blasted the bricks.
I don't have the photo handy though on the computer I am using.
