Posted by chuchubob on Fri May 17 09:28:14 2019 Train 6 California Zephyr at Grand Junction, CO, on Monday   transition dorm connects lower level baggage car with upper level Superliners   Three Private Varnish were added to the Zephyr in Denver Monday evening. PACIFIC UNION  MILW 57 Super Dome  BERLIN    Ottumwa, Iowa, Tuesday morning     approaching Chicago Union Station Tuesday afternoon  photos from train 30 Capitol Limited leaving Chicago Tuesday evening: phase II  MP14B built by Motive Power Industries of Boise  Amtrak Midwest Siemens Charger purchased by Illinois DOT  PV SUGAR CREEK at Pittsburgh Penn Station Wednesday morning. The other side says "SUGARCREEK", the town that Sugar Creek run-through.  Power on train 42 Pennsylvanian at Harrisburg Wednesday afternoon  On display at HAR with caboose; the sixth (last) car on train 42 blocked the rest of the view.

That's what you get for thinking, Dave! :)Amtrak allows PV to put on or off trains at terminals. Apparently this includes Denver because a long dwell is scheduled there. The Pennsylvanian can add/subtract PV in Philadelphia along with the engine change. Same with Washington, DC, on through trains. |
