A gentleman who used to live on SI replied with some of the history. It is worth remembering that for a short while (before the Sherman and Clayton anti trust acts) PRR owned a controlling stake in B&O. This accounts for E-24 class 2-8-0s w/the PRR standard Belpaire firebox. |
