All they have to do is make up a story about how their tenants are "selling drugs" in their property. Nuisance abatement laws help landlords do it.. So if you've lost a job, and can't pay the rent, your landlord doesn't necessarily have to go through housing court to evict you. He can dial three digits and put your ass out TODAY.Of course, you won't believe it because in your privileged, wealthy world, you don't think it can ever happen to YOU. |

Anyone who was irresponcible enough not to work hard in school learning thier ABC's or learning a trade it is thier own fault. Now Retired, I saw chikdren (parents responcible) who came to school day after day without doing HW or studing who had no work ethic." My dad (may he rest in peace) from the day i got my first job made me put away 20% of what I earned. He told me you may have to move where the jobs are and living is priced right. Building more and more "affordable housing for people who will never have the ability to pay full price due to lack of skill and work ethic just makes no sense. It makes everyone else pay thier way putting more people at risk of not being able to save money for a rainy day. The progressive platform is ment to control people economically leading to angry people who barley can support themselves leading to low self esteme. Many people are happier when they more away from nyc. |

Some people are simply "not college material" and will not do well studying for a learned occupation.I'm not saying that hard work is useless completely, but it, by itself, is useless. You need other things AND hard work. I agree with you about affordable housing but disagree about putting stuff away. That is a good idea if you can afford luxuries, and thus putting away 20% means foregoing luxuries, but some people simply do not earn enough to do that. I disagree about free trade. Free trade increases prosperity and wealth. |

Ive Worked with these people...not to give a hand Out..but a leg Up on a head start so THEY CAN BE SELF SUFFICIENT. Mentally,there is something Seriously wrong with the homeless,to be comfortable with being undomiciled.I think a lot has to do with the sheer cost of a place to live. You can feed yourself on less than $30 a day, even in midtown, but an apartment would need at least another $30 a day, and it won't be near where the action is (Penn Station), which means you also have to throw in daily train fare (not to mention utilties). That's assuming the landlord will even rent to you. Being homeless is dangerous, but in some ways, less complicated. |

Some are druggies who bring their kids into the drug lifestyle, others are spiteful failures who don't want their kids to do better than they. Not a few divorced or single mothers work to weaken/destroy their male children, because the boy reminds them of a man they hold an unending grudge against. Men and women each do evil things, only in different ways. |
