Posted by chuchubob on Thu Jul 21 23:31:36 2016 For Cheyenne Frontier Days, the UP business train went from Cheyenne to Denver Thursday with 4-8-4 844 and SD70ACe 1989, the Rio Grande heritage unit, puling. The train will return to Cheyenne on Sunday.The NRHS annual convention is underway in Denver. Thursday's main event was a ride on Georgetown Loop Railroad followed by a visit to the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden. When the chartered bus on which I returned to Denver from the museum crossed over the UP yard in Denver on I-70 north, I got two grab shots from across the aisle.
