I wonder if #3303 was stored in one of those barns to the right out of view. This car looks like it was stored indoors while the others were weather worn and vandalized.Bill Newkirk |

I never realized it was an old Boston car - you can see "via Subway - Watertown" in the route box, for the old Green Line "A" branch (abandoned long ago...).subfan |

How do you think they moved it out of the barn? Could they push it with a rubber-tired vehicle? They probably used one of those Bobcat mini excavators. They're small and nimble and could very well push the PCC to where it stands now. Bill Newkirk |

Truth. 3303 never left, it just got moved out of the warehouse finally. The ones that left "for parts unknown" were 3321, 3299 and Shaker 70. |

This is the car we almost got running. Everything was worked pretty good considering it was the worst of the three Boston cars when we started on it. But it was indoor in the winter, so alot of work got done to it. We never got to put power to traction motors (meggered ok in 2001). The MG was kinda loud like a bearing was going, but it still worked. No track connection to the "main" from the warehouse so it never moved from that spot in the warehouse since 2000. Too bad it got flooded up to the headlight by Sandy, but I bet its salvagable still. |
