Good experienced people, an unusually high number, are retiring from mta agencies since they are coming of age and are tired of waiting for new contracts. The longer this goes on, the less of a chance for retro pay.New people are coming in and are getting well trained but so much stuff is learned when you are put there on your own because, as is the nature of the railroad business, some things happen so infrequently you can't possibly be trained for every eventuality. There is no substitute for experience. |

Discipline as in days in the street I expect will be given out.What I don't get is why wasn't this done on the midnights after the last trains arrive at the outbound terminals and before the first ones in the morning come inbound and they can hold Amtrak 66/67 at a station if needed? |

What was particularly awesome was for one day that week, it was impossible to enter one of the parking lots at around 8:30AM... |

Electrical repair has nothing to do with IT. We specify things like "these things need continuous power, they can run on battery power for up to 20 minutes but a backup power source must be in place within that time frame." The power system is then designed with those limitations in mind. The IT department did their job, no power = no IT. |
