If you see something, say something — especially if it’s an embarrassing spelling mistake.

The word “Roosevelt” is misspelled as "Roosvelt" on not one, but four signs at the 82nd Street stop in Jackson Heights.

The mistake was found on signs at the end of both platforms by Cheryl Tse, of the 82nd Street Partnership, who tweeted a photo of one of the signs Monday night.

“What a disappointment to see incorrect spelling of @MTA signage in #jacksonheights #queens,” she tweeted.

"It's just incredible to me that for a line that runs along Roosevelt Avenue, an employee of the MTA could overlook such an egregious spelling mistake," she said Tuesday.

Straphangers waiting for the 7 train were confused — and amused — by the missing “e” from the name of one of the busiest streets in Queens.

“It’s a really silly mistake,” said Brian Choy, 24, of Elmhurst. “It’s kind of funny, too, but I wonder how the MTA could have let it slip.”

Verien Ganata, 23, of Elmhurst, admitted he didn’t notice the mistake until it was pointed out.

“I live here, and I don’t usually look at the signs,” he said.

But he said the MTA should “know better than that.”

Jane Kim, 25, who lives in Jackson Heights, said it will be most confusing to visitors.

“Queens is already confusing enough,” she said. “People who are actually relying on signs are going to have a big problem.”

An MTA spokesman said the authority was checking into the misspelled signs on Tuesday.

Well, they'll be replacing the signs anyway once the Q33 stops going to LaGuardia Airport.

Perhaps they can just cover it with a sticker, replacing "velt Av" with "evelt Av". It looks like there is enough room on the sign for that.

They should wait. The Q-33 soon wont go to LGA, as it will be replaced by a new routing

That's not the only one. It seems that they're trying to teach lessons on obscure abbreviations on the R line.

Ouch. Typographical error, or bad abbreviation? Hmm...

Give me another reason to hate Helvetica font!

Miss the old days when they used these:

They really need to start proofreading these signs when they make them...

I still like when they first opened the Bleecker St transfer to the uptown (6) , the signs said "Dowtown 6".

Still, nothing beats "Downtown and Brooklyn via 3 Av" at W4 upper level.

I remember the "Downtown via 3 Ave. Local" sign at the 10 car marker. It was like that for quite a few months before the finally corrected it.

The misspelled signs at a Jackson Heights subway station were fixed Wednesday afternoon, according to the MTA.

Spokesman Adam Lisberg said the signs at the 82nd Street Station, which read "Roosvelt" instead of "Roosevelt," were fixed today.

Another spokesman, Kevin Ortiz, said the signs, which were at the ends of both 7 train platforms, were up for about a year.
