With trip cocks on the wrong side one side, how is the train allowed on regular "B" division trackage I(was there a "B" division trainset to bring it over to the Sea Beach express track?Or does the #7 line have trip cocks set up for the "B" division? On a related question, when the Astoria line was converted to "B" division, were the trip-cocks on the signals moved to the other side? |

I believe a supervisor has to ride with the t/o in that case when the cars are operated on the main line in the B Division. When the Astoria line was converted from IRT to BMT, the stop arms on the signals had to be moved from the right to the left. |

The express tracks were unsignaled when they both existed, but signals were installed in both directions on the remaining one when the second express track was closed off, right? |

What's with the red stripe on the first door of the cab cars/ends on the A-division NTTs? I would say that it's to identify the cabs but there's no equivalent in the B-division. |

The red stripe actually does indicate the handicapped space on those cars but why the R-143s and R-160s don't have them I don't know. In fact, the R-143s and 160s aren't even exact BMT/IND oversized clones of their IRT counterparts since the IRT cars have a window in the offside end bulkhead while the other don't. |
