Posted by Neil Feldman on Wed May 16 22:30:13 2012 A few from all over the Subway on Saturday before I arrived at Grand Central:First is from my R160A-2 8672 of R160B 8852 leaving Avenue H: R32 3520 the South Motor of this C Train on a GO running on the Express Track Uptown at 34th Street-Penn Station: At Newkirk of 45-Tonner 050 and Work Train: At Grand Central of R62A 1951 with Ranger's Wrap: " And 1952 with Swiss Logo, and 1927 in the same consist inside: R68 2682 on the D at Bay 50th Street taken inside my R68 set: And inside R68 2726, and if you look on the end door and wall, remninces of Graffiti are present, and also R68A Type Rollsign Box installed with R68 Type Key Rings over the Key Hole: That's all for now! |

That is not an R68A rollsign box. It is fashioned our of sheet metal, not plastic, looks to be an in-house job and painted a lighter color than the orginal signbox. Any one know the story behind why this signbox was replaced? nice pix |

They would probably put less mileage on them if they were assigned to the M, and they could sleep all weekend. Just need a new south sign reading. Have Pitkin and ENY swap 18 8-car trains plus spares. |

No, leave the M shuttle with R160's nites and weekends. But the majority of M's train sets could be R32's and would accumulate less mileage and less frequent maintenance, which is $$$$ saved. |
