Oh Yeah I had a great weekend getting shots of these bad boys on the (H), but these young railfans don't care for it and they talk a lot of shit saying whats so special about it, The Special thing about it is that the fact that its on the Rock Park shuttle and signed up as (H) at that, shit you don't always get something like this

And considering it is closing in on its 50th year in service (built in 1964, if it makes 2014, which sadly it might not, it will be in service for 50 years!!) that alone makes this a worthwhile catch!! Maybe if these ran more, I would shoot the TA system more. I mean I am COMPLETELY sick of the NTTs being everywhere!! AT least the R-46s and now some R-32s make the A interesting to shoot!!

A case in point is the R-40M vs the R-42. While the fiberglass end bonnets were identical......

Hate to correct you but the fiberglass end bonnets on the R-40M and R-42 were not identical. The MM and route sign windows were in fact shorter in height. Black paint on the end bonnet beneath the windshield gave the impression the windows were larger.
