When R-10 #3192 was taken outside the Coney Island Yard Shops in the fall of 1980 to be scrapped outside, the *nose* job came off to show its regular front end as it was hidden and covered over. The plan to rehab an R-10 car like that, as I was told by a shop foreman then, was to have cost more than buying one new R-46 car at that time.-William A. Padron ["A"] |
