Looks a lot like they are preparing the station for 2nd Ave service.

I looked over at The Launch Box and saw the small structure built at 63/3. It looks rather extravagent for what appears to be a temporary entrance. I also saw that the "rehabilitation" of 63/Lex is going to cost well over $100 million. That seems awfully high to me for a station that actually held up well over the last two decades and really doesn't need "rehabilitation." All it needed was another "temporary" wall removed (also arguably extravagent under the circumstances) and a previously planned entrance opened. I just start wondering.

Actually, I like the color of the blue temporary wall better than that horrid orange brick scheme!

Wonder if we'll see a refreshed station design as well.

The current design was outdated the day the station opened. All 6 of the new 1980's era stations need makeovers in the worst way....especially Sutphin/Archer.

Well, maybe not Roosevelt Island.

Yes, those stations were outdated when they opened already. They were late 70's, early 80 designs opened in an almost 90's world. They screamed "Brady Bunch", and it was late 1988 and 1989.....

Yeah, the orange brick is so outdated. But then again, remember, these stations were opened in an era when we still had orange interior doors on trains.....

Yes Roosevelt Island is awesome - - reminds me like a typical WMATA underground station - - breathtaking in every way.

It would have been nice if they had a lot of neon and pastel colors Miami Vice style.

Like the way South Ferry looks like the iStation.

It's not even the design that's so bad, even though it leaves much to be desired, but in addition to that, the materials they used must have been cheap or bad, as it so deteriorated.
