Good to see that we can still have new transit construction in America. The WMATA Els exemplify the type of Els than can be built in New York and other cities to extent the rapid transit lines without necessitating the expense of tunneling new subway.

I am not a big fan of post-tension construction for elevated rapid transit. The profile of post-tension construction is massively greater compared to the other elevated structures that WMATA has elsewhere on the railroad.

The best looking concrete elevated on metrorail in my opinion is segment at National Airport
