If that wye was built so train would not have to change ends or directions, which of course comes with a time delay, I think the ACL Amtrak service be a bit more profitable. No need to incur any delays to change ends, do brake tests, and then be off on your way, as the dispatcher decides to get you out fast, or stick it to you for the sake of other trains. |
