Electrifying the Boonton line west of MSU makes no sense, it sees less than 10 trains per day and none on weekendsMakes sense based on population density. The Gladstone Branch has far lower population and is still electrified, as well as being a dead end. Furthermore, it would be a very useful express route to Dover now that it serves Newark Broad. The RVL, OTOH is heavily used and has a schedule that would make electrification worthwhile They'll never, ever electrify it though. |
