Didn't the Jamaica Ave. shopping district go to shit anyways around that time? From what I've read, it seems like retailers and neighborhood folk were complaining that the El blighted the neighborhood, but when it was announced that it would close some big retailers dipped anyways, and the RKO Valencia shuttered. Lame. |
