Not to mention, I hope you're aware that the oldest ALP-44s are 20 years old while the newest are a mere 14 years old, and they're all getting retired?? The Arrow IV should come out of a competition between the M-8 and the Silverliner V and whatever Denver orders (likely an FRA compliant version of the Siemens Desiro) Where's the money coming from, for one thing . . . ? And Siemens Desiro for NJT?—there's no high-platform version, unless you want NJT to suddenly convert to all low platforms and stop all high-platform building, not to mention add 15 inches to the width and six feet to the length, plus get rid of the full-width cabs. |
