My rehab plan for this station's trackside walls is to put up white panel tile like was done at Union Square (L), with the same light green border, then to turn the muriatic acid crew loose on the frieze, stand back and watch it shine. Once all the schmutz is gone, then it's touch-up time: using tile enamel (available at Pearl Paint, Canal Street, 3rd floor), randomly color some of the ceneter squares, oblongs and triangles (currently various shades of beige), Sea foam green, Kelly green, Hunter green, dark brown and light yellow. Leave about half of the tiles beige, but add additional complementary colors to it.wayne |
