New Mexico scenery is beautiful. My mom and I drove past that very spot (of course no Railrunner back then!) when driving from NYC to LA in 1976 (unless that is a part of I-25 that wasn't completed back then). We stayed overnight in Denver, then rode down I-25 to Albuquerque, spent the night there, then continued on 25 to Las Cruces, where we picked up I-10 for the rest of the way (stopping in Tucson to visit some friends). |
