Since the introduction of MetroCard gold and its bus/subway free transfers, SIers have had three swipes for one fare. One for a bus to the SIR, one to get out the SIR at St. George and another one to ride the subway or bus at South Ferry. It was all part of the Giulliani's one fare for anywhere in the city plan. The ferry fare was eliminated as part of it as well. |
