You know, Chris, here we have ANOTHER thread turning into "Staten Island Sucks!". I'm really sorry to see this coming from you, as I agree with almost everything else you post. I also mourn the loss of the Jamaica Avenue El, and JUST TODAY, I was at 168th & Jamaica to take a look around while on a break from work. I noticed the "Terminal" lingerie shop. I wonder how many shoppers int he area would even know what that refers to...Staten Island has plenty of good people, and deserves to be included in transit as much as everyone else. Whether or not our R44s are in good enough shape to soldier on for a few more years can be reasonably debated. I'd even accept that they are. But the gratituous insults that are ROUTINELY heaped on Staten Island are quite tiresome. And I expected a lot better from you. |
