Since the SI R-44s unlike NYCT's are almost identical in appearance to the much newer R-68s (and actually, their stainless steel exteriors are better looking than the R-68s) Staten Islanders really have no gripe. In fact, I think the R-44 through 68 design is superior to that of the NTTs and probably should have been used on them. |
