Check the 1924 aerial photos, there are buildings built around the New York and Manhattan Beach railroad that still existed then, and some still are around now. The routing between Frost/Richardon RoW (where it literally ran through people's backyards) and what is now McCarren Park is a mystery right now, it might have gone down Union St., don't rightly know yet. There is a map that is on the Art H LIRR site, and if we had the missing piece between what is now McCarren Park and the Frost/Richardson right of way heading to Van DerVoort, we'd have the missing piece. Being that this narrow gauge railroad is local to me now, I am seriously doing some research where ever I can find it. |
