None of them are too precise, and the area has changed alot since 1897 besides. There's another strangely angled building at the end of Scholes St, west of Varick Ave, visible on the Google satellite view. Then it crossed English Kills (not sure where), paralleled Vandevoort (again, not sure where, though maybe Vandevoort is so wide because it incorporates the ROW?), turned west running between Frost and Richardson, and it looks as if Beverage World, on the SE corner of Manhattan & Meeker, is newer construction than the surrounding buildings, and is also a rather oddly shaped building, and then I don't know where the ROW goes until it exits McCarren Park as North 15th Street. I've never seen a street map that shows the ROW, because it existed for so short a time. For abandoned ROW searching, this one is a pretty high degree of difficulty. |
