True, but as noted elsewhere, the line likely would have had to undergo a complete rebuild sometime in the 1970s that would have including completely redoing all of the stations to fit BMT/IND size cars and platform legthening to allow for 10-car trains (which in turn might have led to ALL of the Broadway Brooklyn line's platforms also being lengthened to fit 10-car trains). |
