If the Myrtle El had survived into the '80s, I suspect that would have gotten the V or W designation that is of course now in use on the soon-to-be-combined-with-the-M train on 6th Avenue and the Broadway Line respectively (and as noted, if I got to rebuild the Myrtle El, it would be an extended W train that would run from Metropolitan-Astoria on weekdays and from Metropolitan-Whitehall Street on weekends and overnights). |
