Also interesting to see how the Flushing line was still under construction in '24 -- you can see the shadows of the upright girders with no structure above them extending some blocks east of 103 Street in Corona. Roosevelt Avenue doesn't even extend to Flushing yet. There's no Roosevelt Ave. bridge across the Flushing river and the whole area that later became Shea/Citifield is nothing but marshland. |
