That's right, I have no idea of why it was listed for so long after though. I have an old purchased hagstrom road & rail pocket atlas of the NY Five boroughs from the early 1980's and Westbridge was in there, too. Not only Westbridge but Union Hall St, Hillside, Laurelton, Rego Park, Grand Avenue, Elmhurst, Corona, Woodhaven, Ozone Park, Parkside, Brooklyn Manor, Richmond Hill, Penny Bridge, Fresh Pond, Haberman, Glandale, Long Island City, Springfield Gardens, just to name a few. There wer other spurs and old routes & stations from Metro North & Amtrak & the MTA subway system, too (who remembers the Third Avenue line which was the number 8 train in the Bronx?). |
