April 22, 2000 - Hudson-Bergen opens, but this is a trolley line so maybe this shouldn't count.October 21, 2002 - Airtrain Newark opens (not in NYC, but pretty close). This monorail line runs on stilts. December 17, 2003 - Airtrain JFK opens. Majority of the new line is elevated. |
