I think the whole point is that the combined route would draw more riders. The two routes by themselves might have light ridership, but on the M, ad GP38 always reminds us, a lot of the people are changing for the L at Wyckoff. These people would be encouraged to stay on, now (especially people like my wife who hatr transferring and stairs and everything, to the point that when we lived near Seneca, we were deterred from going to midtown). |
