If there is a merger, it will be made only for budgetary reasons and not for the convenience of passengers. As I said yesterday, but it got lost in the myraid of responses: the politicos in the areas served by the M and J will not take this quietly. They will not want it. That is an opinion, not fact. There are many in these communities effected that WOULD be for this. It effects just about ever person that gets off at Wyckoff, as well as the transfers at other Nassau stations, headed back uptown. This goes WAY beyond just "Essex and Delancey", but for some reason, you can never see past that particular station. |
