But for the V to run in the Eastern Division, it will be shortened by two car lenghts, which will cause some crowding and increased dwell time as C/R's fight passengers who are jamming the doors b/c they were standing where the train does not stop so they run to the train as the doors are closing, causing delays. This was always a problem on the C.It was a problem on the G. I used to blow my horn entering busy stations like Woodhaven, and people looked, knew something was up, and ran to the middle of the platform before I stopped, knowing the G was short. This always saved time and trouble. |
