And as you can see, this R-10 car was formerly numbered off the 1803-1852 series, based upon the adhesive numerical white font stickers placed on the number plates on those 50 cars first back in 1970. A precursor of things to come when the cars would be repainted in the MTA silver/blue scheme shortly afterward, and with all the other R-10's having their grey/orange number plates covered up as well.-William A.
