C.T.A. is resurecting the name 5000 series? Nice pictures. IIRC, the original 5000 series was a test set like the R11/R34s were.IINM, CTA doesn't duplicate numbers between the subway and bus fleets. Really the 2000s, 4000s, 6000s, etc. have also been "resurrected," but as buses. Old 5000s, in service 1947-1985:  Only four trains were built; three survive (as of February). |
