If you want your little foothold to your dream of becoming a T/O then fine, just don't bitch when the fare goes up again. Incidentally, the fact that there are 8 million people in NYC only hurts your attempt to make a point. The few hundred jobs lost were NYCT to dispose of their C/Rs would have virtually no impact on the city's unemployment figures. Indeed because there is no residency requirement for NYCT's operating workforce you'd have to consider the action relative to the NYC Metro area, therefore encompassing 18 million people and further reducing the impact the NYCT's termination would have. That of course assumes the C/Rs would be terminated, an extremely unlikely scenario. |
