No ESA trains will stop there so they would still need to use the 7 for GCT. They won't need Hunterspoint Ave as the whole reason for the Hunterspoint Ave station is for it's connection to the East Side via the 7 line and Grand Central, many people then transferring to the Lexington Ave line. With ESA, they have direct Grand Central access, so the need for the 7 line will be much less. A simple transfer at Jamaica will get them to Grand Central where they will then be able to transfer to the Lexington line there.....cutting out the 7 line completely. Hunterspoint Ave will be a ghost town once ESA opens. |
