There is a new homeowner here in Bay Ridge, Bkln who purchased a home directly across the street from the American Legion post. Since he moved in, he has done nothing but complain about the noise on Saturday night from the party guests who hire its party facility. The post structure has been in its present location since 1939 and nobody including the residents who line adjacent to the post on the same side of the street ever complained for all the years that the post has been there. Now this individual had to have been either absolutely blind or brain dead not to realize that the presence of any type of social club such as a K of C, or veteran's organization etc would not necessarily be the quietest place in the world yet he chose to buy a home there. As far as I'm concerned, he and others like him have no gripe whatsoever since they either knew or should have known the drawbacks of living in such a location. |
