This is off the top of my head so I may be wrong but that's how I remember the service to 57th/6th (1987 to 1990):

Evenings:
Grand St. shuttle - JFK Express - 63rd St. opens - F/Q(weekends B) - Evening B

Late nights:
Grand St. shuttle - F/Q

The Q shuttle shown on the map from those days was the F/Q. I don't recall Q trains terminating at Broad-Laf or Second Ave.
