As I have mentioned before, according to an old time ERA member who is a professional engineer, the Myrtle could hold anything that the NYCTS had including the D Types. It's just that the stations couldn't clear a 10 ft wide car. The original Fulton St structure was a different story since it was a differently built cast iron structure that could only hold either wooden or extremely lightweight cars such as Multis. |
