BART 10 cars A's are 75' B/C's are 70 according to 'nycsubway' so A 8 B/C's A = 710. my error. Even though I live in BART territory I think of the cars as nearly identical. Bottom line BART has been OPTO/ATO from day one--11 Sept 1972. There have been glitches, but the worst I know of was a T/O spaced out and kept his head out the cab window too long looking back along the train. He hit his head on a wayside signal IIRC--some blood some stiches. |
